The letter of Paul to the Romans in the New Testament is a foundational book for us as Christians.  Many commentaries and sermons have been written about it over many centuries.  During the first quarter of 2010, we are going to be having a series of sermons based on sections of the letter to the Romans and will follow these up with bible studies to discuss the material in more depth together.

The bible studies will take place at Bolton Villas in The Snug on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm and be repeated on Wednesday morning at 10.00am. The first studies will be on Tuesday 5th January and Wednesday 6th January.

As a guide to these studies we will be using the Crossway Bible Guide to Romans, by David Coffey.  If you would like to get hold of a copy of this book you can do so via IVP Books or via Amazon (free delivery), but it is not essential.

If you have any questions on the study please get in touch. You can do this via the contact form or by calling Mick or Heather on 01274 827428.

Bolton Villas is a friendly, welcoming Christian church, seeking to serve the people who live, work, study, visit or worship in Wrose, Swain House and the surrounding area by striving to be a community space with a spiritual heart.  If you are looking for somewhere to find out about the Christian faith, where any question can be asked then please come along.

Church inside

Our worship at 10.30am on a Sunday morning is open to everyone. The children have their own activities during part of the service on most Sundays, except the 3rd Sunday of the month, when all ages stay together for an 'All Age Worship' service. Our worship is varied and informal, but always Bible-based. Why not come along and see for yourself?

Children listening

Sunday evenings and during the week there are activities for toddlers, children, teenagers and adults. Use the Activities menu at the top of the page to explore these and the rest of our "faith space" in more detail. If you've got any questions at all then please just ask. You can do this by using the contact form to send us an email.

The stories behind the face

Churches are not primarily about buildings - they are about people.  Bolton Villas Church is made up of people from many walks of life, with a vast variety of life experiences -  good times, bad times and indifferent times.  What they have in common, is that they believe in a God who loves them and wants them to follow him as best they are able.  If you want to know the stories behind some of these faces then read on ...
